Bella Poarch was born in the Philippines on February 9, 1997 to her biological Filipino parents. Her grandmother was living in slums with her biological parents until when she was 3 years old. Then she was adopted. Her adopted family is comprised consisting of a Filipino adoptive mom and a white American army veteran. She says she and her adopted brother were abused from when she was a child before she joined the military. Her family travelled from San Francisco for a few months in order to stay with her aunt, before relocating to Texas in the year 13 due the need of her father to undergo bypass surgery. Her father did not take action to stop the abuse psychologically, even though she says that the physical violence was less. After 18 years of her life she joined the United States Navy. Poarch began her TikTok in April 2020, which quickly gained traction. Poarch accumulated over 40 million fans within just 8 months. She uploaded many videos, but the one that became her most well-known was Millie B's viral smash Soph Aspin Send. The video became one of the TikTok's most viewed videos. The video was zoomed-in to show her dancing rhythmically, as well as lip-syncing with the song became a viral hit. When she first joined TikTok and gained fame she launched her own YouTube channel, as well as a Twitter account. Poarch's rising fame peaked in November in 2020. According to reports that she was the subject of two professional Esports team's interest. FaZe Clan & 100 Thieves have both expressed an interest in hiring the creator of content to work for their own brands.
