LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful athlete of all time and has frequently compared to Michael Jordan during debates about the best basketball player ever. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships as well as four NBA MVP Awards as well as Four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has two Olympic Gold medals. James has scored the most points during playoffs and has and has the second highest number of career points and is seventh in assists in his career. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams, and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. James has played in 10 NBA Finals the third most ever, including eight times in a row between 2011 and 2018. James was selected to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team for 2021. He was the NBA's first player to score 10,000 points, rebound and assists in 2022. James played basketball at St. Vincent St. Mary High school in Akron in Ohio. He was hailed by national media as the future NBA superstar. In 2003, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. When he was named the 2004 NBA Rookie Of The Year, he quickly became a top player within the NBA and was awarded the MVP award in both 2009 and 2010 for the NBA. in 2009 and 2010 James, who failed to take home the title at Cleveland in 2010 left as a free agent and signed with in the Miami Heat. This was disclosed by the book The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions made by a free agent in sports the history of sports.
