Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden is the fifth of her siblings born in La Jolla on 14 August 1959. Beverly Bushfield was her mother. She employed as a domestic worker during the time that Thad Harold Harden served in the army. Families moved often- she first became interested in theatre while the family lived in Greece and had been to plays in Athens. Harden began her college education in American colleges in Europe and returned to the US for her final education in the University of Texas in 1983 after which she earned an MFA at NYU after which she began her career as an actor. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers' cleverly satirical homage to the 1990 gangster movie, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden appeared in movies as early as 1986 (in The Imagemaker, a lesser-known film The Imagemaker), she was a sexy woman-of-the-world in her debut mainstream role. Harden got a positive review for her dramatic performance of Verna who was a seductive and dangerous female. Harden then continued to perform consistently as a supporting character, such as the portrayal of Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) the biopic for television on Frank Sinatra. Marcia Marcia Marcia
