Lizzo

LizzoLizzo was a member of a prog-rock group, in which she sang and sometimes played her flute. The family she was born into had moved to Denver and she was on her own in her quest to start her career in Houston. Lizzo lived in her car and occasionally slept on the floor in her recording studio. She also used her gym to shower at the gymnasium. When Lizzo was 20, her father died. They had been close and it was a tragic loss. Following the death of her father she quit the prog rock band. After a brief stay in Denver, Lizzo moved to Minneapolis in the year 2011 at the invitation of a friend. She soon became a part of that city's music scene. She was part of the girls' group Chalice and GRRRL PRTY. Her debut album, Lizzobangers, came out in 2013 under an independent label.
